Energy Gang Podcast | Residential Solar Financing is Getting Easier

January is gone and 2015 is moving fast, and I'm now catching up on Energy Gang podcasts as we receive 10 inches of snow here in the Midwest. In this episode, above, Stephen Lacey, Jighar Shaw and Sungage Financial CEO, Sarah Ross, talk about residential financing for solar panels. The cost of owning or leasing solar panels for residential dropped 60% since 2008.

Recent surveys suggest that EV owners are receptive to residential solar in order to keep overall emissions lower. A 2014 survey of California EV owners — PlugInsights — revealed showed that electricity rates are attractive in the golden state — more than 8,400 owners responded to the survey:

>> Special electricity rates and solar panels — 62% get reduced electricity rates for EV charging, 42% have or plan to install solar panels);
