Video | Electric Race Car Conquers Pike's Peak

The good guys over at Fox Valley Electric Auto Association (Ill.) posted this GoPro video of Monster Tajima on Pike's Peak this year. First time I've seen an electric car on Pike's Peak and a couple of things: That road can be quite skinny in places toward the top and it gets bumpy at the top. Congrats on the new personal best time, Monster Tajima!

That's an Electric Car Commercial, Nice Work Opel!

This is how you do it, of course, it's Europe. The commercial is efficient storytelling, great tone and shows an electric car that can go 500 kM. It's a car for every day use...what a message!

As Alex Keros of GM said recently at the EV Roadmap conference in Portland, some car consumers think the Chevy Volt goes only 35 miles. Doh. 

Well done Europe GM.
